The seven lives of Peter Barlow

(This post was originally posted by Flaming Nora on the Coronation Street Blog March 2013, reposted to this blog with permission.)

In an interview with Chris Gascoyne in the TV Times - read it here - it was pointed out that the character of Peter Barlow in Coronation Street has been played by seven different actors.   Yes, seven.  Is this a record? Have any other characters been played by more actors?

You might like to read about the same actor who's played 11 different roles on Corrie - Dave Dutton

And so, without any further ado, here are the seven lives of Peter Barlow (with thanks to corrie.net)

Chris Gascoyne (2000-present)

David Lonsdale (1986) - he also turned up on Corrie as Kirsty Soames' dad in 2012

Joseph McKenna (1977-1978) - read more on Joseph as Peter Barlow here

Linus Roache (1973-1975).  Linus Roache is the son of William Roache, who plays Coronation Street's Ken Barlow.  Linus' first screen appearance was at the age of 9, playing his father's son in Coronation Street.

Christopher Dormer (1970-1971)

Mark Duncan (1970-1971) and  John Heanneau (1965-1969)
