Coronation Street writer Peter Whalley retires after 35 years

Coronation Street writer Peter Whalley has retired this week, after 35 years of writing almost 600 Corrie scripts.

Peter wrote the live 40th anniversary episode of Corrie in 2000.

In May 2009 Peter Whalley was given a Special Achievement Award at the British Soap Awards. To read an interview with Peter Whalley after he received his award, click here.
