Nick wants David... And we know why! And so does David who's probably needing one of Lily's nappies about now. David took as long as he could manage to get there, putting off the inevitable but Nick wasn't worried about David, he was scared witless!

David knew quite well Nick remembers and Tina is caught in it all too but has no real sympathy for him. What's David's solution? Was he going to smother Nick? Nick sure thought so but David just wanted to persuade him to keep quiet, kind of like "I just wanted to stop the car!"  Now, everyone thinks David is worried about Nick. He is but not for any reason they can come up with.

Kylie is registering David as Lily's father. Legally, that's an end to it unless the baby's Nick's and he kicks off about it. Boy, Nick sure did shake Kylie up with his "Not. His. Mine." Kylie and Gail are both in a panic. So now David's bricking it and so is Kylie and so is Gail. I really love that Gail and Kylie are getting to a better place and they understand each other. Most of the time.

I know Leanne wants to have someone sit with Nick all the time but really, he might enjoy a few waking hours to himself and there's no reason he can't be along for a few minutes. He probably pretended to be asleep so she would leave! David finally arrived and didn't he have a flash of the old evils flip across his face.

Gail is calling Kylie selfish, thinking of herself instead of how the secret will affect Leanne. She's changed her tune! It's out in the open between David and Nick now while Gail thinks they have to just wait it out, leave it to fate. Fate can be a bitch, baby. Telling the truth now could be far less damaging than letting Fate do the honours. So, what? Nick tells David he remembers and then subsequently falls asleep? Really? Sounds like David is laying the crumbs out for a "Nick is just confused, it's the brain damage" card to be played for when Nick comes out with something damaging to him.

David did admit to causing the crash, i.e. making Nick lose control and leaving them in the way of a truck to crash into them. That's something I guess.  Nick doesn't know what he's going to do but in his condition, he could tell the tale without even realizing what he's saying.

Leanne is worried that Nick seems so angry. Wouldn't you be? I'm sure the nurses are used to that sort of thing. Nick really has no shut-off button these days. He's in knots about the baby, I think, plus all the frustration about his condition. He insists on seeing David and he's now insisting on a DNA test. I hope he's contributed to the DNA samples because otherwise it can't be definitively proven.

I'm not so sure confiding in Tina is David's best way forward, not with Kylie lurking around and tending to jealousy at the best of times.

Why shouldn't Ryan take a 6 month job away? It's a good job and it's no different than when he went away to Uni or if he went to London. Oh let him go. Please. Michelle might worry about him and with good reason, but would it be any better if he'd gone to another city instead of another country? Steve's right though. If Ryan was going to get back into drugs, he doesn't have to go to Spain to get them. Thank God!  No more mumbles. He was a bit foot-in-mouth with Katy and Steph but he probably doesn't really care anyway. Bye mum. So she sees off and so do we. Don't let the door  hit you on the backside!

Hayley's had a scan. Not sure why. She hasn't had any chemo treatment yet. Maybe it's a "before" to compare to the "after". She thinks a diary might be a good idea. That's because ITV have a Hayley's Diary tie in. Loved the little scene where they compared fears. Hayley's afraid of moths! and puppets! To be fair, a lot of people are afraid of puppets and clowns. Then he told her about how a shy man feels when he wants someone to love. Wow, every scene between Roy and Hayley is just magic, isn't it?

Roy is being spontaneous so he can be the man she wants him to be. But he already is! and Planning a surprise trip to Blackpool will thrill her! Hayley wants to go to a support group but doesn't think Roy is up for sharing feelings. Love seeing the driving lessons, finally!

I'm very surprised Owen would put up with someone that owes him 4 grand and hasn't paid. Owen's debtor has declared bankruptcy. Good luck getting paid even though Everything is in her name and they've scammed the courts for the bankruptcy. Owen is going to have to find his money some other way. Gary's all for playing the heavy but Owen seems to think a softly softly approach is more feasible.  Stealing a bike is softly softly? Owen wanted to put Gary at risk when Gary's already got a criminal record, Yeah, that's thoughtful. Well, good. looks like Owen did the deed himself.

I think Phelan should have gone straight to the cops. It doesn't matter that he owes Owen money. The cops won't care that he's owed, legally, Phelan is bankrupt. Nothing they can do. In this case, Owen is clearly in the wrong and has now broken the law. But as it's a soap. They do a deal and he finds the money from the wife's accounts. Done. What was the point of all that anyway? Just for Anna to lose her rag to Owen and Gary?

Steve's making secret phone calls to someone that seems to be a potential investor in the pub. Steve is not telling Michelle about the pub until it's a done deal, I guess. He had to bribe Lloyd and Eileen for a favour though. Steve and Michelle now have the flat to themselves. For 1 night. One out, one in and her dad is now on the doorstep with a full bag, far more than a few nights' worth of "stay".  Michelle knows there's more to his visit than he's saying. Surprised that Michelle didn't call her mother earlier. Mom's not saying but Dad admits there's been a little row. Steve thinks she's thrown him out.

Brian's in a middle aged slump and unhappy with his lot in life (well, his job anyway) and Julie would love to be a parent. Brian doesn't really want to adopt and he's surrounded by children all day. What's the solution? Julie worked up the nerve to broach the subject of fostering to Brian. Doesn't look like Brian is impressed with the idea. It's too much like hard work. Well it is but I don't think Brian likes hard work. He's promised to think about it but that probably means she'll push and get her way. I do like this couple, though.

Sally noticed Tim's curtains twitching but he talked his way out of that one. Tim has turned out to be a spineless coward hasn't he? Meanwhile, Carla and Peter need an office PA and Sally assumes she's a shoe-in for the job but Eva's determined to have it and to tell you the truth, I'm not altogether sure that Eva is a great machinist where Sally is, so Eva'd be better in the office and she proved it, too and Peter hired her on the spot. I do love seeing Sally's disappointed face!

Owen's offered the flat to Tina and Tommy (for rent, not free). I can't imagine they have had much of a love life under the same roof as Rita and Dennis.  Oooh there's Gary. We haven't seen him for awhile. Sounds like Faye's friend Grace is a bit of a control freak. No text for 10 minutes and Faye thinks she hates her? Sounds like Grace is keeping Faye on the string dangling. Looks like Max isn't jealous of Lily anymore. Faye and Grace are BFF again. Such is the way of kids.

The best place to discuss adoption and fostering is in the Kabin where Rita can put in her opinion. Deirdre was wonderful in the scene in the pub, sticking her two pennies in and then wittering on about snacks. Deirdre is now foisting herself on Norris, Mary and Emily for company. Poor thing must be getting lonely! Mary's sounding a bit lonely too.

Stupidest comment of the week: "I know what women want."
Tim, in his underwear, in a dirty darkened flat, eating cereal, hiding out from his girlfriend.
Sure you do....
